Carpet pile
What is carpet pile? Why should I care?
Pile is another name for the fibres in a carpet. The Pile is woven in and out of the carpet backing, this creates a series of loops that are then cut if they are a twist pile carpet or simply left as a loop for loop pile carpets.
The deeper the pile the more luxurious the feel but short pile carpet tend to stand the test of time better as they are easier to clean and handle high traffic areas.
